Tai Stone, Licensed Acupuncturist
Tai is board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in acupuncture and Chinese herbology and is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Hawaii. He graduated with a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. He is a certified instructor in the Wild Goose (Dayan) Medical Qigong system.
While living in Zimbabwe as a teenager, Tai discovered a passion for traditional healing sciences. That passion found a focus in the East Asian arts of qigong and Chinese Medicine which Tai has been studying and practicing for the past two decades. Tai’s background in Medical Qigong, under the tutelage of Bingkun Hu, PhD., since 1998, as well as passion for scientific medical research, informs his eclectic approach to holistic healthcare. In addition to acupuncture and related modalities, Tai employs the sophisticated pharmacology of classical Chinese herbal medicine and modern supplement science to treat a wide range of acute and chronic disorders; working closely with patients to develop a clear, affordable treatment plan to restore harmony. Tai is also a passionate permaculturist, committed to ecological cultivation and conservation near and far; as well as a conscious community builder, helping to produce and perform at Maui Dance Church events on the North Shore. Along with his wife and colleague, Tai is also sharing in the magic of raising a delightful daughter, while developing an herbal garden and compounding medicinary.
