Jamie Nakasuji, LMFT | Therapist
I completed my MS in Marital and Family Therapy and MA in Theology in 2005 at Fuller Theological Seminary.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, couples, families and older adults with issues ranging from anxiety and depression to attention deficit and oppositional defiant behaviors.
I am a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator and enjoy working with engaged couples as well as married couples who desire to work on strengthening their relationship. I also specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and couples who desire to work through identity issues, build their self-esteem and strengthen communication skills that may be hindered by the effects of anxiety and depression.
I tend to work eclectically and integrate various modalities of therapy that will best suit the client, although I gravitate toward Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Attachment theory.
I am able to integrate faith into therapy if the client desires to work through issues of faith.
I believe that everyone would benefit from therapy because it is an enriching experience for those who desire to process through and heal from past hurts, gain healthy coping skills, and move forward in life and in their relationships with a better sense of self. Therapy can be hard work at times, but it is well worth the effort and investment!
