
Brian Shoen, Massage Therapist (Maui)
Brian Shoen has done bodywork for over 20 years, starting as an adjunct modality to martial arts and yoga and progressing through Auntie Margaret’s lomi lomi training on the Big Island of Hawaii. Brian has continued to learn and evolve his massage therapy practice most recently at the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage where he completed the 650 hour licensure program including a primary focus on Neuromuscular Therapy. He concurrently completed the 150 hour Advanced certification program in Integrated Medical massage which included advanced training in myofascial mobilization, joint play mobilization, aromatherapy massage, Cranio-sacral therapy, and lymphatic drainage massage.
He has also completed over 150 hours of continuing education in the Asian Bodywork program including shiatsu, Jin Shin Do, Qi Gong, Thai Massage and Chinese Medical Theory. Brian is currently a faculty member at MSTM teaching deep tissue, myofascial mobilization, functional assessment, and therapeutic fitness as well as supervising the student clinic. He continues to deepen his practice through advanced workshops and considers himself to be a lifelong learner. Brian takes constant joy in being able to share and help people through bodywork.
